‘Don’t Touch My Durag’ is a fantastic example of what happens when you put the work in over a length of time and don’t rush perfection. Jefe starts the project off with ‘Victory Lap’ as a statement to anyone who hasn’t done their research.

I got the pleasure of witnessing some of the magic behind the scenes. The thought that goes into the shots, the color, and timing of each scene is immense. The director and producer Archbishopeddy has worked frequently with Jefe on multiple projects – this documentary on Jefe titled ‘A TESTAMENT TO THE GRIND’ is one of their greatest pieces of work from the early days of their careers. If you want a glimpse of one of Arizona’s finest lyricists and business moguls on the rise be sure to check it out ASAP.
Legend of Musashi is the first tape where the transition into Gorgeous Jefe. It feels like a new era. The versatility is apparent with this one.
Despite whatever perceived limitations about artists and the music they make, we can really make whatever we want. Jefe continues to prove this with every release as we head into December for his next album.
